Itinerary

DAY 1: Reception in Bogota

Once you landed in Bogota your guide will be waiting for you to start the transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: Ciclovia bike ride, Gold Museum and graffiti workshop

During the morning explore the most bike-friendly city in Latin America, Bogotá offers cyclists over 250 miles of bike lanes throughout the city. Beyond the old quarter, explore the daily life of contemporary Bogotá on a bike, visiting the iconic neighborhood of La Macarena, where you can witness the process of gentrification in a once-dangerous neighborhood. Afterwards, you’ll visit a huge national university, the birthplace of revolutions, and eventually reach the Simon Bolívar Metropolitan Park. Along the way you’ll see several parks, modern and artistic murals, iconic architectural constructions, and secret little spots that you would never reach by car also today you’ll learn all the facts relating to Colombia’s recent history. The day’s highlight is the Gold Museum showcasing 34,000 artifacts made of preColumbian gold. Here, you’ll learn more the famous legend of El Dorado, and the story behind the Spaniards’ lust for this precious metal

During the afternoon dabble in the world of Colombian graffiti with a local artist who’ll teach you to create art with easy-to-learn stencil techniques and non-toxic paint. These techniques can be applied to any canvas, not just walls! Extra safety measures, including the use of gloves and a mask, make this a family-friendly activity (B, L)

DAY 3: Transfer to Medellin and city exploration

Today you will leave Bogotá and head up to one of the most beautiful cities of Colombia. Medellin will surprise you with its innovative means of transportation such as escalators at the neighborhood of San Javier, cable cars that interconnects the city everywhere and of course don’t get the chance to ride in the city metro, considered as the best experience in town to interact with the friendly inhabitants of the city while exploring  the typical and avant-garde street food on the boulevard of Parque del Rio and taste the best Arepas of Colombia, this corn made patties can be filled with several ingredients, chicken, beef, cheese and why not a tasty guacamole. Afterwards visit the massive sculptures by Fernando Botero in the heart of Medellin’s city center. (B, L, D)

DAY 4: Abejorral Zipline and hike at the gorge of the Buey

Located in the outskirts of Medellin, after a scenic drive you will reach to an 80-meter-high waterfall awaits you on this incredible outdoor adventure that begins with a 700 meter-long zipline crossing, followed by a hike to the bottom of the canyon where the San Joaquin and Buey Rivers run. This unique landscape offers several natural pools to help you freshen up during and at the end of the hike. (B, L)

DAY 5: Visit the quaint village of Guatape

Guatape, built after the construction of the Guatape dam, is a village that was only recently resettled. Since its foundation, all the inhabitants of the town began the tradition of decorating their houses with the unique stories of their families, their livelihoods and the events that marked their lives, memories and families. As you explore the streets of Guatape, you’ll be impressed with the amazing, colorful walls and original art. You’ll also have the chance to visit the big rock of El Peñol, a huge monolith that faces a picturesque lake, the perfect postcard shot of the day. (B, L)

DAY 6: Transfer to Cartagena, old quarter sensorial Caribbean food tasting tour

Today you will leave Medellin and take your flight to Cartagena, the Colombian best known destination, its walled old quarter turned this place into one of the places you want to see if visit Colombia. The Caribbean sun, the music and the happiness of its inhabitants will get you the best combination to spend unique moments with the family.

Late in the afternoon, when the tropical breeze makes the city easier to walk, we will explore the city with the opportunity to capture the magic, people, architecture, and landscapes of a city that is rich in history and culture. If you were hoping to snap some postcard worthy images, this is the perfect tour for you, as you’ll be taken to some of the most scenic spots abd have the opportunity to try the best local sweets, refreshing coconut lemonades and the tastiest ice creams and popsicles. DAY 7: Rosario Islands day trip to Gente de Mar (Shared excursion)

Located just one hour by boat from Cartagena, you’ll discover the majestic Corales del Rosario Island National Park and its white sand beaches, turquoise-colored waters, and such an impressive, abundant underwater life, you won’t ever want to leave! Today’s lunch will be a Caribbean typical menu with fish, fried plantains and coconut rice. (B, L)

DAY 8: Leave Colombia

Today your guide will take you to the airport and assist you for your international flight back home (B)
