Day 1

 Flight to Coca – Kayak Challuayaku River and Nocturnal Wildlife Walk

Travel from Quito to Coca, then by river to Challuacocha Reserve. Paddle through remote waterways and settle into your jungle lodge before a night walk in search of black caimans and nocturnal wildlife.

Challuacocha Lake Kayaking, Jungle Hike, and Canopy Tower

Kayak the lake at dawn and hike into the forest with your guides. In the afternoon, climb a 100-foot canopy tower to observe birds and jungle life as the sun sets. Optional night paddle for caiman viewing.

Pañacocha Lake – Pink River Dolphin Tracking and Birdwatching

Journey to Pañacocha Reserve for a full day of kayaking and wildlife observation. Look for monkeys, kingfishers, and pink river dolphins before returning to the lodge.

Jungle Hike and Cultural Visit to a Kichwa Community

Paddle to a remote trailhead and hike through untouched forest. Learn from local Kichwa families about plant medicine, food, and culture, and witness how ecotourism supports community well-being.

Parrot Clay Lick Visit and Return to Quito

Depart by boat with a stop at the parrot clay lick, where four species gather in vibrant displays. Continue to Coca for your return flight to Quito.
