The Galápagos Kayak Expedition is a land-based journey that takes you across three remarkable islands through kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, and biking. You’ll paddle past lava cliffs, snorkel with sea lions and turtles, and walk through volcanic highlands where nature’s raw power is always present.

Itinerary at a Glance

Day 1
San Cristóbal – Kayak Darwin Bay and Snorkel with Sea Turtles
Paddle the coast of San Cristóbal, encountering sea lions and blue-footed boobies. Snorkel in calm waters, then visit the Galápagos Interpretation Center.
Day 2
San Cristóbal – Northern Coast Snorkeling and Sunset Kayak
Snorkel at Kicker Rock or Punta Pitt. Later, kayak through lava formations and observe coastal birds at sunset.
Day 3
Isabela Island – Tintoreras Kayaking and Coastal Biking
Fly to Isabela and kayak through mangroves and coves. In the afternoon, bike to the Wall of Tears, passing tortoises and volcanic landscapes along the way.
Day 4
Isabela – Sierra Negra Volcano Hike and Beach Time
Hike to the massive caldera of Sierra Negra and explore volcanic terrain. Return to the coast to relax on the beach or swim in the sea.
Day 5
Santa Cruz – Tortoise Encounters and Volcanic Tunnels
Visit El Chato Reserve to see wild tortoises and hike through lava tubes. Explore Los Gemelos forest and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station (time permitting).
Day 6
Santa Cruz – Kayak Punta Estrada and Hike Tortuga Bay
Paddle through lava channels alongside reef sharks and rays. Walk through dry forest to Tortuga Bay, one of the archipelago’s most beautiful beaches.
Day 7
Puerto Ayora – Artisan Shops and Chocolate Workshop
Visit local workshops in town before transferring to Baltra Airport for your return flight to mainland Ecuador.
